Default Creating forms to use function keys

In the past I have used created forms/template where you could advance to the
next shaded area or box to fill in by using a function key. I do not
remember how to do this. I want to create fields in a form where I can hit a
function key to take me to the next field to fill in. Could someone please
direct me to an easy site. I have used Help on the subject of forms and I
just may be overlooking the answer to my question. Your help would be
appreciated.

F11 will take you to the next field. In a protected form, Tab takes you to
the next form field. For the latter, see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm and especially
the forms tutorials by Dian Chapman that this article links to.

F11 - next field
Shift-F11 - previous field

These are often macrobutton fields.

Thank you very much - I was focused on the Forms toolbar, which was helpful,
but what you have recommended was very imformative and is just what I am
looking for. I appreciate your quick response.

What you are talking about when you are using the Forms toolbar is what Word
calls an "online form." Check this in help. For more about online forms,
follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian
Chapman's series of articles.

Hope this helps,
