Just place the insertion point inside the cell before adding the TOC.
Note that you should set a fixed column width (Table Properties dialog box, Column tab) on the column where the "TOC cell" resides. Note also that you may have to adjust the location of the right-aligned tab stop, which controls the position of the page number, for each TOC style. Since the TOC styles, by default, are set to update automatically, you can do this by dragging the tab stop indicator on the ruler (it looks like a backward "L") for each TOC level. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "dinesh" wrote in message ...
