Default Conditional headers in Word Letterhead Template

I need to create a Word template with company letterhead including logo on
the header of the first page only - without inserting section breaks to make
two pages in case the letter only requires one page. Is there a way to use
conditional formatting with a header to achieve this task?

No section breaks required or desired. Take a look at: How to set up
letterhead or some other document where you want one header on the first
page and a different header on other pages.
http://www.addbalance.com/word/headersfooters.htm This gives step-by-step
instructions. (It also has the following links)

Some other pages to look at:
