Default Convert File box opens ech time I open a Word 2003 document

I have Word 2003. I did a mail merge with an Excel data source and had to
use the DDE method. I also selected from my Word Options to Confirm
Conversion after Open. So now I get a Convert File msgbox each time I open a
Word document. So do I have to turn it off and when I do the mail merge with
the Excel file, enable it again?

You shouldn't be getting this message when you open *Word* documents.
