balancing columns
When using newspaper style columns, the text will not wrap properly if there
is a blank line at the end of the text and it is included when highlight the text to put into columns. Switch on the non printing characters ¶ and make sure that what you want to put into columns *does not* have an extra return ¶ at the end. Hope I've explained that clearly enough! -- Rae Drysdale "emg" wrote: I'm having trouble balancing columns. Have tried Help and inserted a continuous break at the end of the columns but nothing is happening. Frustrating but must be something very simple tha tI'm not doing. There is a heading at the beginning of the first column. Have also been to ToolsOptionscompatibility and unticked Don't balance columns-- emg |
