Default Office 2003 Word as email editor under Vista

Trying to edit existing signatures using Word. Tools, Options, General,
Email options.

I click on a signature, and change the font size, click OK, click OK again.

Then go to Outlook, new email, change signature by right clicking and the
change does not show up.

Close Outlook and do the same as above and change still does not show up.

Signatures were brought over from XP and I was told before that this was
supposed to work. But editing is not working.

Is this a Vista problem ?
