Default autocorrect bugs in Word 2003

MS Word 2003
Autocorrect has taken it upon itself to begin correcting the word I've and
replacing it with I'be. It happens with any word containing v that is
followed by an apostrophe. I have scanned for viruses, and there don't seem
to be any in my PC.
There are no commands in autocorrect options that I can uncheck.
Any ideas on how to fix this?
thanks

Look at the list of autocorrections at the bottom of the dialog below the
checkboxes and see if you have an entry for I've - and if so, delete it.

Tony
I'd already looked at that option. But then I looked further, and found
there was an entry for ve...correcting to be.
And once I deleted it, I'm back to normal.
Der!
But thank you very much for making me go back there and have a look!
cheers
Lill
