I have the following issue: I have printed a couple pages, but I need
to add page numbers to them. Is there any way to just print the page
numbers on the original two pages without printing over the original
pages?

Create a blank document, insert page numbers, press Ctrl+Enter
repeatedly to create the required number of pages. Then put the
printed pages back into the printer, and print the "page number
document" on top.

If I understand you correctly, you need to print only the page numbers
unto the sheets. You may certainly create a new empty document with page
numbers only (for 10 pages, add 9 page breaks via CTRL-RETURN). I
suggest you use the original template for the document to get the page
margins etc. right (though, that template is probably not worth too much
if it doesn't have page numbers and you want them :-)). Then you print
this new document on the same sheets.

Caveat: depending on printer technology, running the same paper through
the machine twice may not produce the nice sheets you are used from one
run. Best try this with an empty sheet first.

Though, it's hard to see why you couldn't add page numbers to the
original document and print out the whole thing anew (if it's only a
couple of pages, that's probably easier, faster, and cheaper ...).
