Word 2007 "Modified" date doesnt change.
Word 2007....modified date doesnt change. It is my resume. I had a service
type it in Word 2003. I have 2007 on my computer. I just noticed that the modified date has never changed - still says Jan 10. Any idea how to fix this. Right now I have to rename the files each time. Its such a nuisance. |

Word 2007 "Modified" date doesnt change.
What exactly are you trying to achieve here?
Why do you need to rename the files 'each time'? Each time you do what? -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org KarenNYC wrote: Word 2007....modified date doesnt change. It is my resume. Word 2007 "Modified" date doesnt change.
I believe Karen means she needs to rename the file (or Save As) in order to
get the modified date to change. Presumably the modified date won't change if the file hasn't been modified. Perhaps Karen needs to change the SAVEDATE field to PRINTDATE or some other that would work better if she's not actually making changes? -- Suzanne S. Word 2007 "Modified" date doesnt change.
Actually when I do a "save as" the modified date DOESNT change. so I
actually have to RENAME the file to know which is the most current version. And the problem is apparently not just in WORD..... How do I change the PRINTDATE field....I'd be willing to live with that until I find a solution to my original problem. Thanks Karen "Suzanne S. Alt+F9 to display the field. If you don't see a field code, then it isn't a
field, and that's the problem. Or it could be that the field is locked, so you could try Ctrl+Shift+F11 to unlock it. If that doesn't work, then just edit SAVEDATE to be PRINTDATE. -- Suzanne S. A-a-r-r-g-g-h-h! DO I FEEL STUPID. Can you say STUPID. CAN YOU SAY IDIOT.
I decided to check the date on the lower-right-corner. Some how it got changed to JANUARY. I changed it to TODAY (DUH!) and everything seems to be ok. I feel S-t-u-p-i-d. "Sir my computer isnt working". "Madam, is it plugged in?" This was almost that bad. Thanks you all. Appreciate your help. Karen "Suzanne S. Barnhill" wrote: Alt+F9 to display the field. Rather along the lines of the support call when the user was asked if the
computer was plugged in and reported back that it was difficult to see behind the desk as there was a power outage! Terry Farrell "KarenNYC" wrote in message ... A-a-r-r-g-g-h-h! DO I FEEL STUPID.
