Default How to make headers the same darkness as body text?

I am trying to make a letter head in word. If I use a header to create it
then the letterhead is less dark than the rest of the document - that is no
good!

Thumbs up Answer: How to make headers the same darkness as body text?

To make the headers the same darkness as the body text in Microsoft Word, you can follow these steps:
  1. Select the header section of your document by double-clicking on the top margin of the page.
  2. Highlight the text in the header section that you want to adjust the darkness of.
  3. Go to the "Home" tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen.
  4. Click on the small arrow in the bottom right corner of the "Font" section.
  5. In the "Font" dialog box that appears, you can adjust the darkness of the text by changing the "Font color" option.
  6. Choose the same color as the body text by selecting it from the color palette or by entering the RGB or HEX code for the color.
  7. Click "OK" to apply the changes to the header text.
  8. Repeat these steps for any other headers in your document.

By following these steps, you should be able to make the headers the same darkness as the body text in your document. This will ensure that your letterhead looks consistent and professional.

Stuff in the header and footer appear lighter on the screen in
Print Layout view, but will print at their "correct" darkness.
You can't change that.

That's only when you're in edit mode. Header and body are toned differently
so you can tell them apart while you're editing. They're the same when they
print, or in Print Preview.
