Default table borders reappear on save from Template

I have made a template that has multiple tables in it. Upon save, the
borders reappear and skew the entire formatting. I am wondering if
this is a setting. It doesn't happen on all machines running Word
2003. Any thoughts?

Do the borders print? Are you seeing gridlines?

Select Table Hide Gridlines from the menu.
