Macro that copy/paste names from a list and prints a letter
Hi,
I have an invitation letter that looks like this --------------------------------------------------------------- To, Mr. James Bond Subject: Invitation letter Dear Sir, You are invited... Regards, ---------------------------------------------------------------- On the second page I have a list of names that looks like this --------------------------------------------------------------- Babar Noor Asad Masood Mehmood Raza Batman Spiderman ---------------------------------------------------------------- I want to create a macro that copies names from the second page, one at a time and paste it on the first page just beneath the "To," field. Can anyone please guide me on how to create this macro? Thanks |

Is this some sort of mail merge you have planned? If so create a data file from the second pagehttp://www.gmayor.com/convert_labels_into_mail_merge.htm and merge into the first page. If not, what is the point of adding the names one at a time? You could, if you can identify the names from whatever else may be on the second page, grab the lot and paste them, so why a macro? It would be quicker to cut and paste? -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web sitewww.gmayor.com Word MVP web sitehttp://word.mvps.org wrote: Hi, I have an invitation letter that looks like this --------------------------------------------------------------- To, Mr. James Bond Subject: Invitation letter Dear Sir, You are invited... The names could be 100 or so. The complete steps are as follows: -Copy first name -Paste it beneath "To," -Print the first page. -Copy second name ..... and so on. |

Create the list first and use mail merge to create the letters. The list
would best be employed as a Word table - see the layout in the link I posted. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org wrote: On Mar 22, 3:45 am, "Graham Mayor" wrote: Is this some sort of mail merge you have planned?
