It seems if I want to customize something or change settings, I may need to
go here (maybe view/customize) or there (maybe tools/options), or exit out
of the program a certain way to get it to stay that way, or file/page
set-up, or do something else.

Why not place all options and settings in the *same* place?

(I can click file/print for everything - same idea for settings and
options!)

Vista!! According to MS, windows hasn't changed for 10 years and so
they are thinking of a complete revamp of the interface!! This means we
senior citizens have to relearn everything all over again. What a cruel
way to treat us!

Upgrading is not compulsory. There are many people producing good work with
Word 97, which still offers more functionality than most users ever get
round to using.

need to use Office 2003 for the next 27 years. I'm too old to learn a
dramatically complicated new UI. Gimme my toolbars back! (Smile.)

If I wanted a "gee-whiz" Macintosh UI, I would have bought a Mac.
