How do I get watermarks to show through tables?

My guess would be that you have a fill color applied to the table. Select
the table, go to FormatBorders & ShadingShading & select No Fill.

Another possibility is that the table was copied from elsewhere and pasted
as a picture, in which case the fill may not be removable.
