Hi All,
I have quite a problem and cannot de-code an encoded text file that i have
containing important information. I have tried all i possibly can. What i am
thinking it may be is that i saved the file on the most recent microsoft word
(saved nov2005) as i have office professional 2003. Does this effect the file
in any way.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thankyou.

On the open file dialog in Word, try setting the file type to Recover text
from any file.
