Default getting rid of grid lines

I turned on gridlines in Word to arrange something on my computer at work,
and then when I tried to turn them back off, they wouldn't go away. Now
everytime I open up Word, they're there, and it's getting very annoying.
Anyone know why this might be happening?

Probably your tools-options-view-text boundaries option is checked.
Uncheck it.

Thanks

Hello-

It sounds like you clicked the Default button and confirmed OK when you
turned the Grid on.

In any doc that shows the Grid, click the Draw button and select Grid.
Remove the check to dDisplay gridlines on screen, click the Default button
and confirm Yes to update the Normal template. That should resolve the
problem.

If you use the Grid in the future, just click OK once you put a check in the
box to turn it on. If you click the Default button you are saying that every
doc display the Grid automatically.

Yep, your answer with the draw default was the solution to my problem. I
import graphs now from a separate program
