Table of Contents issues
Hi all,
I've created a TOC and would like to change some of the headings in the TOC only, not in the headings in the actual document that link to the TOC. For example, I have a few headings I would like to indent and and make the font style smaller. But once I change the formatting in the TOC and then later click on it and tell it to "Update Fields" it converts back to the original formatting. What am I doing wrong? |

Text formatted as Heading 1 appears in the TOC in the TOC 1 style. Text
formatted as Heading 2 appears in the TOC in the TOC 2 style. Text formatted as Heading 3 appears in the TOC in the TOC 3 style. Et cetera. Instead of applying direct formatting to the TOC entries, you should modify the appropriate TOC style.
