Somehow, the delete command disappeared from the Edit toolbar. Please help
me find and reinstall it.

The command is called "Cut", and you can accomplish the same
thing by pressing the Delete key on the keyboard or by
pressing Ctrl+X on the keyboard. But to restore the command
to the Edit menu, see See

Hi g-n-o,

I'm a little confused by your response to the OP.

AFAIK, Word has never had a Delete command in the Edit menu (although I can
only remember back to v6.0). Resetting the Menu command bar doesn't seem to
add that item, at least not in '03.

Also, I 've always been of the impression that 'Delete' and 'Cut' are not
synonymous. Even though they both remove selected content, Delete does not
require that text be selected, whereas Cut does. And, Deleted content is not
written to the Clipboard, so it can't be pasted back in.

What am I missing? |:)
