Default Delete highlighted text using backspace

It seems that this is the same question, but with a twist. If I highlight a
text and go to the backspace to delete it, there is a question at the bottom
of the screen asking "Delete block? Yes or No.

Same with the Delete key.

I checked the answer to the prior entries, and the "Typing replaces Text" is
already checked.

Help?????

Thank you

On the General tab of Tools | Options, clear the check boxes for both items
that refer to WordPerfect. This should affect only the Delete key, however;
"Typing replaces selection" is the option that affects the Backspace key.

Suzanne, this took care of both the Backspace and the Delete key deleting
text. Thank you for being so knowledgeable! It was nothing but really
aggravating!
Thanks again!
