I keep entering my address in both the envelope tool and the options page but
unlike Word 97, 2003 seems to keep forgetting it. Is there another setting
that I am missing?

Forget all about the Envelope tool, just create your own Template for
envelope(s) as it will help keep your blood pressure off the boil! Graham
Mayor has placed a FAQ on his website going through setting up Word's
Envlopes correctly if you really want to use Word's Tool, but I really do
prefer to create a template and find it faster.

I agree about the template - there is a set of sample envelope templates
for download from my web site also that can be used as a start point. They
use the methods suggested at http://www.gmayor.com/Macrobutton.htm and
http://www.gmayor.com/Alternative_Return_Addresses.htm to put Outlook
addresses and graphics on the envelope (if required)
