how can I erase the paragraph mark in a footnote?
I erased the text of a footnote both in the main section of the document and
the footnote. However, the paragraph mark is still there along with the footnote marker line. Since there is no note reference in the document, I can't erase it -- at least by the Help instructions. Is there anyway to get rid of this? Thank you! |

how can I erase the paragraph mark in a footnote?
In the body of the document, try selecting the entire paragraph which
used to contain the footnote reference, cut and paste it into a NotePad document. Does that remove the footnote area? If so, copy the text from NotePad back into the document. If the above fails, the following should work: Place the cursor inside the footnote. Press Alt+F11 to open the Visual Basic Editor. Press Ctrl+G to display the Immediate Window. In that window, type Selection.Footnotes(1).Delete and press Enter. Close the Visual Basic Editor. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Nehra" wrote in message ...
