word2003: ruler does not extend to entire width of the page
In print layout view, the ruler (including the dark gray page margins on the
left and right ) is approximately 2cm shorter (on the right-hand side) than the actual page width. This leads to the effective right page margin being approx. 2cm wider than defined in page setup. The document is 20 pages, contains bullets, automatically generated index, no images. Please help! thanks, Mark P.S. Hi ?B?UGxhbmV0ZWVy?=,

Is it possible that Track Changes is activated in the document, and that what you're seeing is the extra area Word adds in order to display "balloons"? If you go to Tools/Options/Track Changes and set the display of the "balloons" to "Never" does the extra area go away? If it does, then display the Reviewing toolbar and turn OFF the change tracking. Then accept/reject any changes accumulated in the document.
