Default Import excel spreadsheet to word and keep functions?

I have a excel 2003 spreadsheet that I need to add to a word document. I need
the continued functionality of the spreadsheet. Can this be done? If so, any
suggestions?

In Word, click on Insert | Object | Create from file | choose your
Excel file | OK.

Or in Excel select and copy the part of the spreadsheet that you want to
appear in Word, and then in Word click on Edit | Paste Special | Paste:
As: Microsoft Excel Worksheet Object | OK.
