Can I paste a sequence of numbers in a column without typing each
I can't remember the short cut to pasting numbers in a column of a chart
without typing each number out. The numbers begin with 001and carry on till the end of the column. I am sure there is a pasting trick that I have forgotten and Microsoft's question aid is not very helpful. Is there anyone out there who would know the trick or am I just dreaming that there is a shortcut? |

Depends on what you mean by a "chart." If it's a table, you can click on a
column and then click the Numbering button. If it's the datasheet for a chart, you could do this in a table in Word, then copy/paste into the datasheet. Or you can create a sequence in Excel and paste in. -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA http://word.mvps.org "Rolaine" wrote in message ...
