Default Protecting cell table content

I have the first column of my table with hidden text and I want to be
sure the user will not accidentally erase or modify it.

Is there a way to protect via VBA a cell/column in Word like in Excel?

thanks, Lauro

Not with a Word table, but you can insert an Excel "table" into Word and
then you would have that ability.
