I use MS Word 2002 running on a Dell Dimension 4600 running Windows XP Pro
with P-4 2.66 GHz cpu and 2 Gb of memory. Most of my applications run in sub
second or a second or two, except MS Word with takes 12 or more seconds to
load itself and any documents. It takes the same amount to save a document.

Any suggestions?
