Word 2007: Where is Normal.dotm
Hi all,
Word 2007: I'd like to change the template for new documents. According to Word Help this file is now called Normal.dotm, but I cannot find it anywhere on my harddisk. I also searched hidden files. But when I try to save a new Normal.dotm then Word replies with an error message like 'Cannot save with the name of an open document' or so. So where is this Normal.dotm??? Oskar |

Word 2007: Where is Normal.dotm
G'Day Oscar,
It is located in the default 'User templates' location. Office ButtonWord Options Advanced (Left pane) File Locations... (button - at the bottom of the Right-hand pane) User Templates (inspect the value) I have changed mine and cannot remember what it was, but I think it was: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates -- Regards, Pat Garard Melbourne, Australia _______________________ "Oskar Busch" wrote in message ...
