Well, generally one would send emails and open attachments through Outlook.
However, if you're referring to using Word as a text editor, that's another
matter. Can you provide any further detail? Situation when error occurs,
specific error messages, version of Office, etc?

(Oh, and by the way, generally, using ALL CAPS is considered shouting and
you're much more likely to get help by typing with normal capitolization.)
