How do I get a word out of the default dictionary without reinsta.
I want to remove a word from MS Word's default dictionary. Is this possible.
The dictionary used to flag the "word" thru a misspelled. Now it's not. I don't understand why. I have no custom dictionaries. |

If Word used to mark "thru" as misspelled and no longer does, there's a
chance that someone has added it to the custom dictionary (Custom.dic), so that's the first thing to check. If you find it there, you can just delete it. If you don't find it there, then, as Graham says, you can't actually remove a word from Word's lexicon, but you can create an exclude dictionary to tell Word to mark it as misspelled.
