Default newspaper columns in landscape

When I change from portrait to landscape with 2 newspaper columns I can not
get the columns to spread over the whole page.
When enter a Table in landscape I cannot get the right hand side of the
table to go to the right of the page. Text is visible in Web Layout view but
not in Print or Page Layout.

Your last problem is a total mystery to me, but here is some information
about the first two:

1. Make sure your margins are set correctly. Then go to Format | Columns and
make sure "Equal column width" is checked. You can also specify the width of
the columns and the space between them as desired.

2. When you insert a table, it by default fills the margin width, but if you
change the margins or page width (as you're doing if you switch from
portrait to landscape), the table width doesn't change. If you have Word
2000 or above, in the Table Properties, choose 100% for the width
(alternatively, you can choose a specific width).

1. newspaper column query answered, than you.
2. Your analysis makes things clear. I have Word 2003 and changing table
width does not solve the problem. I shall continue looking.

Make sure your table is not wrapped: Table Properties | Table: Text
wrapping: None.

Not that -
Weird as I can PasteSpecialFormatted Formatted Text into one doc and it
shows OK. If I try to Open New change to Lansdscape then paste as above - I
can see the columns marked on the top of the window, you can click in a box
or floatthe mouse and get table line symbols, But you can't "see" the text in
the box.

tried your Fix 2, but still can't see what I am doing wrong.
Could I send you a DOC with a table that exhibits my problem?
Regards

Yes. In the email please describe what you are trying to do and what the
problem is, as I will not remember this thread.
