Sections of my document now appear double spaced, it won't let me adjust,
cut, or delete. I also tried to use Format button to check line settings
(Says single spaced) also looked up tips and tried to use Line Adjustment
function on toolbar - no go.

Turn on the display of non-printing characters (click the pillcrow ¶ on the
formatting toolbar). Is there a pillcrow at the end of each line? This is a
paragraph mark and should only be at the end of paragraphs.

On the Layout tab of Page Setup, check that the vertical alignment is set to
Top and not Justified.
