Default how do I crop part of a scanned document IN word

I just scanned a document on my hp multi,and want to know if there is a way
to just keep part of the page. I had it save to word. and just don't know
what to do.

If you scanned it in as a .jpg, use a photo editor.

If it's a graphic Word has its own cropping tool.

I edit first in an editing program and then inserts the picture. Creature of
habit, I guess.
