Is it possible to export an Adobe table into Word?
This might not be the right forum for this question, and if so, my apologies.
I can select text in the pdf file, but it "clipboards" into one cell in a Word table. Thank you. |

The short answer is no. A PDF file is a graphical format. If you have the
full version of Acrobat you *may* be able to extract it, but the only sure solution is to use OCR software such as Finereader - and even then it probably won't be an exact facsimile. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Catherine wrote: This might not be the right forum for this question, and if so, my apologies. Thank you. Do you know if Finereader will extract it enough to put it into
Excel cells? I'm trying to get away from massive cutting and pasting, cell by cell. Catherine "Graham Mayor" wrote: The short answer is no. A PDF file is a graphical format. Not having seem the file I cannot say, but Finereader will convert tables
and retain their format -ish. or You may be able to use the convert text to table option in Word to make recreate the table format from your text? The principle is essentially that at http://www.gmayor.com/convert_labels...mail_merge.htm -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Catherine wrote: Thank you.
