Soft page break following Next Page section break
I have a Next Page section break that is followed by a paragraph mark and
then immediately followed by a soft page break. Why is the soft page break there and how do I get rid of it? Currently it is printing a blank page and I can't seem to eliminate it. Thanks. |

Examine the formatting of the paragraph following the break: it may be "Page
break before" or "Keep with next" (and one of many KWN paragraphs in sequence). -- Suzanne S. Barnhill Microsoft MVP (Word) Words into Type Fairhope, Alabama USA "mscertified" wrote in message ... Soft page break following Next Page section break
I'm not sure why it worked but when I converted the screen image following
the soft page break to a screen image inside a table, I was able to delete the paragraph mark and then the soft page break went way. "Suzanne S. Soft page break following Next Page section break
I had the same thing happen. Checking all the paragraph settings revealed no
problem. I finally found that I had the document set for different odd page headers and footers. Once I removed that, everything worked fine. -- Bonnie "mscertified" wrote: I have a Next Page section break that is followed by a paragraph mark and then immediately followed by a soft page break. Soft page break following Next Page section break
When you have "Different odd and even" enabled, Word assumes you plan to
duplex. If you restart numbering in the new section, it will change your Next Page break to Odd Page (and insert a blank even page) because page 1 must be a recto page. -- Suzanne S.
