Recovering a saved file
My boyfriend has spent weeks doing an assignment for University and after
completing it tonight he has somehow saved a blank document over it. Is there ANY way he can get the original back? many thanks |

He will need to avoid using his PC until this is resolved. He will also need
to obtain - using another PC - some file recovery software that can be run - preferably - from floppy disc. Ontrack's File Recovery Pro is good, but there are others. The file space freed by saving the blank file over the wanted file will probably not yet have been overwritten. Most if not all of the work will still be on the disc. Had he had the option checked to automatically backup on save, then he would not be in this position. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Nikki wrote: My boyfriend has spent weeks doing an assignment for University and after completing it tonight he has somehow saved a blank document over it.
