Mail merge: merging number from excel to word.
Hi,
the problem you've described occurs because mail merge by default uses ole db connection. The problem and its solution is described in KB article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/320473/en-us. The DDE connection method (which is how Word used to connect to its data
before Word 2002) will correct this issue and is mentioned on the linked web page in question, but a formatting switch on the field is quicker and easier to implement. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Nika Lampe wrote: Hi, the problem you've described occurs because mail merge by default uses ole db connection.
