While there *is* a Word XP (aka, Word 2002), there is no "Word Vista". This
makes it difficult to understand exactly what you're asking. Do you mean Word 2007? If so, Word 2002 files open just fine in Word 2007. What happens when you try? Is there an error message of some kind? -- Herb Tyson MS MVP Author of the Word 2007 Bible Blog: http://word2007bible.herbtyson.com Web: http://www.herbtyson.com "help" wrote in message ... Vista doesn't amke documents any more than Win XP or Windows 98. I suspect
you mean that you are using Word 2007 at home and some older version of Word at work. You have two choices: Download the compatibility pack on your work computer so that you can read .docx documents, if your work policies allow that. If not, instead of hitting Save, do a Save As and change the file type to Word 97-2003 version. -- JoAnn Paules MVP Microsoft [Publisher] ~~~~~ How to ask a question http://support.microsoft.com/KB/555375 "jeanette" wrote in message ...
