Default How to add past docs to list?

Hello,

My default setting for the number of past Word docs I've worked on,
(open the File tab, then it expands to more selections and a list of
the past docs worked on is at the bottom of that expanded tab) is 4
docs. Is there a way to add more to that list?

Thanks beforehand,
Bret

Presuming this is pre-Word 2007, go to Tools, Options, General tab and
increase the number from 4 to 9 (the maximum pre-W2007).
