Default Saving formatting changes in a table

I have been browsing the posted questions and have tried everything suggested
to no avail. I am using word 2003. I created a table to keeping meeting
minute notes. Where the problem comes in is when I try to bullet the
discussion items. I have tried to modify etc. so that The bullets and the
text line up differently i.e.
..text
.text
.text
yet when I save it and then try it it defaults back. I am so frusterated I
am hoping that there is a different answer because all the ones so far have
not solved my delima.

Thank you so much

I don't think it is possible without changing to outlining. Bullets in a
list are suppose to be in line which is why Word is probably forcing them
back. If you use an outline style for your bullets, it should work but Word
will probably want to use different bullets for different levels.
