Default How do I obtain a list of words used in a Word document?

My subject line defines my question. How do I obtain a list of words used in
a Word document. The word processor I used in the late 80's had such a
feature I have not been able to find in Office Word.

I am running Windows XP and MS Office 2003.

There's no built-in function for it. There are macros available around the
place, or to do it manually --

Make a copy of the document.
Use Find & Replace to remove all non-text matter (punctuation marks etc)
Use Find & Replace to convert all spaces to paragraph marks
Copy and Paste into Excel
Do unique sort
