Default Send Text to Word in MODI

In Office 2003, Office Tools includes Microsoft Document
Imaging. I have opened a tiff file and run OCR. When I
use "Tools" - "Send Text to Word" I get this error "An
error was encountered while trying to send text to Word.
Please verify that Word is properly installed." Help
says "Verify that Word version 2000 or later is installed
and working on your computer. If so, send a smaller
selection of text or select a few pages at a time instead
of sending all of the text in the document at once." I
have Word 2003. When I select a small section of the
document, even one word I get the same error. I used Find
to see if MODI would find a few words to see if OCR
actually worked and was successfull. Any ideas what's
wrong?
Thanks,
John

See my 3/18/05, posting with a similar problem, copied below. Did you ever
get an answer?

How can I fix this? I've reinstalled Office 2003, but still no luck. I can
copy & paste a page at a time of scanned text into Word (& other programs)
from Document Imaging, but not multiple pages. The "Send trext to Word"
command produces the error message referenced above.
