It's very easy, all you need to do to save the documents in Word 2007 in the
Word 2003 format. You can either do this individually or set the default for this. He said the default click on the office icon and then options (bottom right of the window) and go to the section for save, the top pull down will allow you to select the format to save documents in. Hope this helps, Mark Radell "coolio" wrote: the only printer that works in my house is connected to a computer that doesnt have an internet connection so im stuck with word 2003 on the printing computer. Then run the Add Printer wizard on the Word 2007 computer and add the printer as a networked printer. With that setup you can select the printer on the other computer as the default printer on the Word 2007 computer, and just print normally. Or maybe you should move the printer from one computer to the other. Otherwise, you have two choices: - In Word 2007, save the document in Word 97-2003 format. That's on the "Save as type" dropdown in the Save As dialog, or you click the Office button, hover over the Save As item, and choose Word 97-2003 Document from the menu. The document will open in Word 2003, but some of the new features (such as SmartArt) won't be completely preserved. When you save in the older format, Word 2007 will tell you about any changes it has to make. - Download and install the Office 2007 Compatbility Pack on the computer that has Word 2003. It's at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...3-C6BB74CD1466. This will let Word 2003 open documents that are saved in Word 2007 format. Again, some of the new features won't be preserved if you edit the document and then take it back to Word 2007. Just printing it shouldn't have any problems. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |

Networking the PCs seems the obvious solution. If both PCs have a network
card (and if they don't you can pick one up for peanuts from eBay), all you really need is a crossover network cable to connect them). -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Jay Freedman wrote: coolio wrote: the only printer that works in my house is connected to a computer that doesnt have an internet connection so im stuck with word 2003 on the printing computer.
