Default Merge Documents quits highlighting inserted text.

I have used Track Changes and Merge and Compare Documents for years. I'm
well familiar with the varios options.

I just merged and compared two documents and Word will only highlight (or
balloon) the deleted text, not the inserted text. The inserted text should
highlight as green, underlined text. But the inserted text only shows up as
regular text.

Track Changes still to works normally, highlighing inserted text.

What gives???
