"The selection is marked as deleted text"
When you try to copy text which is marked as deleted Word donĀ“t let you go
ahead and shows the "The selection is marked as deleted text". If you try to select any part from text which is not marke as deleted plus the part which you previosly selected (marked as deleted), word let you to copy that text. I am using Office 2007 Beta. Is that a bug? If it is, can anyone post it in a correct place? Thanks ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes. "The selection is marked as deleted text"
I encounter the same problem with Word 2003. I consider this "feature" to be
a bug, and in any case to be an impediment to beneficial use of the product. The fact that text is marked as deleted does not make the text 100% undesirable. It still is desirable to be able to copy the deleted text for use elsewhere. Microsoft - please add options to Word to allow the user to choose any of the following when text which is entirely marked as deleted is the subject of a copy operation - 1 - the old behaviour 2 - warn, but still copy 3 - don't warn at all, just do copy If a selection contains both marked-as-deleted text and not-deleted text, perhaps additional options are needed - 1 - the old behaviour 2 - warn, and copy only the not-marked-as-deleted text 3 - warn, and still copy all of the selected text 4 - don't warn, and copy only the not-marked-as-deleted text 5 - don't warn, copy all of the selected text Thank you -Jay Libove, CISSP "dLopesp" wrote: When you try to copy text which is marked as deleted Word donĀ“t let you go ahead and shows the "The selection is marked as deleted text".
