Text box border comes & goes
I have a document that has a text box that almost fills a standard page. The
text box has a border completely around it. When I open the file I see the border, but when I scroll down the page the border is missing on the part of the page that wasn't first seen. The border sometimes completely disappears! If I minimize the window and then maximize it, the border reappears. What is going on? I am using Word 2003 (Office XP - completely updated) with Windows XP (completely updated). Please help! |

Try reducing the hardware acceleration setting in Start | Control Panel
| Display | Advanced | Troubleshooting. OhioJoe wrote: I have a document that has a text box that almost fills a standard page. The text box has a border completely around it. I tried your recommendation and it worked! I had to go to Display | Settings
| Advanced | Troubleshooting. I had to move the setting from full (6) down to 3 in order to keep the text border from randomly disappearing when I scroll down the page. What will I lose by leaving the setting at 3 instead of 6? Any idea? Many thanks for your help. I had looked all over the Microsoft website for information on this, but found none. I am glad you responded. I was beginning to wonder if something was wrong with my new computer! Graphics-intensive games probably won't play very well, but everything
else will probably work just fine. OhioJoe wrote: I tried your recommendation and it worked! I had to go to Display | Settings | Advanced | Troubleshooting.
