Table of Contents
If you generate an automatic TOC using Insert | Reference | Index and Tables
| Table of Contents, this is the default. If you are creating a TOC manually, apply a period leader to your right tab stop; see http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/SettingTabs.htm -- Suzanne S. Table of Contents
It's a tab with a dot leader.
But Word will do it automatically if you auto-generate the TOC, see here on that; http://shaunakelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html Or see here re tabs: http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/SettingTabs.htm On 11/14/05 6:57 AM, "CAS" wrote: Can anyone tell me how to place a dotted line between the subject and the page number in the table of contents? -- Daiya Mitchell, MVP Mac/Word Word FAQ: http://www.word.mvps.org/ MacWord Tips: http://www.word.mvps.org/MacWordNew/ What's an MVP? Table of Contents
You should not be selecting any text when you insert a TOC. Does your text
include TC fields or paragraphs formatted with a built-in heading style or any style with a TOC outline level? See http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html -- Suzanne S.
