Can I automatically insert document name/location?
You can do this, by adding a filename/p field to the header/footer, but it
is a seriously bad idea to do so, as it can have knock-on effects with other types of document where this would be an issue - such as labels, which would be impossible to produce correctly with a header/footer present. Also such a field will not update automatically so you will need macro code to force it to do so. Better to add the header/footer after you have first saved your document by inserting the filename and path autotext entry into it. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org .
