Default How do I stop Word from adding to my startups?

Every time that I open Word, it adds a "C:\Program Files\Microsoft
Works\WkDetect.exe"
to my list of startup groups.

I do NOT want that to start up .. how can I make Word PERMANENTLY stop
putting that into my startup groups? Thanks
