Default How do I remove the paragraph sign which shows when typing words?

I have set up paragraphing on word by mistake and would like to know how to
reset my settings to normal.

Press Ctrl+Shift+8 to hide nonprinting marks. For more on the topic, see

Click on the pilcrow symbol (Home tab, Paragraph group) or try CTRL+*.
