Default Template Creation Question

Is there a way to create a template that has both locked text and alterable
text? I want to create a document with boilerplate type characteristics, but
strill containing areas that can be modified as needed. I don't want to use
form fields. Any Ideas?

Thank you for that link, it will be useful for other projects. Not this one,
unfortunately. What I would like to do is...like a contract boiler plate.
Standard language, with some that can be altered, but stays in the original
template for reference. Is there a way to lock some words, but not others?

Default Template Creation Question

A protected form does just what you are asking for. You insert form fields
where you want to permit data entry. You can also insert section breaks and
leave some entire sections unprotected.

So, if I am reading your reply correctly. I can protect the form, but leave
sections unprotected, then the individual sections can be altered?

Thank you both for your assistance. This has been most helpful in being
ready to create a document like I asked about, eases the stress if you know
what I mean.

Thanks Again
